Hi

On the site I have started I have created a div for the right hand column.
It is coloured blue and lies behind text. The problem is that to get it to align with the text in IE or Firefox I have had to misalign it in author mode.
It is positioned absolutely but I have tried relative positioning but still
get the same problem. Please help. I have used Dreamweaver in the
past and am returning to it. This was a bit of a bug before but I never
quite got it resolved. Thanks

What is the best way in peoples view to get boxes positioned on the page and get them to stay put. Thanks again

Absolute positioning is a bad choice for page layout. You need to lear how to use CSS floats. You could start with DW's built in 2 column layout and read the comments in the code to see how it's handled there.

And, if by "author mode," you mean Design View, don't worry about it. Design View is meant for editing. It's what you see with a browser that is important.
