I have - finally - almost finished my new website, artfulME (http://arfulme.x10.mx). I'm sooo happy! I just have a few more pages to setup, one of them being a gallery of my pictures and videos I've uploaded. I have a script that uploads the pictures to my web server with FTP, and then it puts the link and title and so forth into a MySQL database.

Now, I'm just curious what you guys think would be the best way to setup a gallery type page of thumbnails, each one linkng to the real file - with a separate page for vids and pics, of course. :)

after thinking about how to do my own site I decided to keep it simple: a thumbnail that links to a page with a larger image. Make sure the image is big, that's what folks want to see. Some of the fancy image viewers these are distractions from the work.

I think I may have figured it out... Tell me what you think: artfulPICTURES (http://artfulme.x10.mx/media/pictures)

Looks good. The only prob is that I have to scroll down to see the large image in its entirety and then if I select another image the screen resets to top and I have to scroll again. Find some way to avoid that. I'd remove the "Pictures" and "chosen image" captions too.

↑ Yeah, I was thinkin' of doing that. ↑

I just got a new desktop with a 23" screen. The only problem with it is that when I'm testing out pages, I've no clue what other people will see :). I suppose I should setup my laptop on a table next to my desk for testing.
