Hi Guys

Does anyone have any good tips to combat the effects of googles new Panda 2.xx

My site has slipped down the ranks, i know my backlinks where weak but I have list myself in 100 new directories with good PR, and created an article here and there but I am still not performing very well in google.

Are the old tricks of backlinks, article submission, good keyword density enough to get back in the top pages.

Anything info or experience will be a great help?

1000 directory links will still not make your page more relevant.
Article submissions to 'free article submission' web sites is also not going to help you.

If you make yourself relevant through traditional and new media, the links are going to come by themselves :) Not kidding.

(You should work together with Google instead of combating)

It really depends upon how much time you have to devote to SEO and your target market. In your case, I'd probably suggest concentrating you efforts on local SEO since (I think) most of your target market is local.(???) So claiming your business in Google Places (and other places suggested by GetListed.org. You can also check your listings on a number of sites at Yext.com (but they are trying to sell a service). Then work on getting some high quality backlinks and local links and citations.

its just so frustrating seeing sites which have not been updated since 2007 suddenly jump your site.... My marketing is locally based... I think I need to do some off line promotion as will to drive up my hits.
