View Full Version : Dreamweaver Mac User With Firefox Distortion

Idiosyncratic Art

I have custom designed a website on my mac using dreamweaver. I have been testing on Safari, because that is the website I mostly use. Now I need to transfer the html pages into a pc with firefox as a main browser. So I put firefox into my mac and now as I test the pages from dreamweaver using firefox some of the pages come out fine while others are distorted. They appear fine on the dreamweaver display, but are distorted on firefox. I don't know what to do, everything appears fine in the html code but I don't know what to do. Any help would be appreciated.

The 'slice 'n dice' method in Photoshop was never a good way to generate your HTML and it will never be. Just save your thumbnails and photo's manually in Photoshop and then hand-code it properly. If you don't know how then I'd suggest to read the following tutorial:

Thanks. I am looking at it now. I learned how to website design this way a while ago. Isn't the whole point of dreamweaver essentially to web design using photoshop? I was asked to design the website pages like the way I have it now.

Errrmmm.... Nope. Dreamweaver is a professional web development tool. There are some bridges between PS and DW but that is about making sure changes to images are reflected in websites. Why would you even buy Dreamweaver if PS is going to write your code for you?

I meant to design the website in photoshop, then to bring images/slices into dreamweaver to make the html. I'm sorry I shouldn't have mentioned "whole point of dreamweaver is to design with photoshop", my mistake.
