Can someone help? I created a website for someone using the html pages from another website I created for someone
else. I replaced all the keywords and meta tags, but the old description still shows up on the Facebook link when I
"like it." NO WHERE in the Dreamweaver code that I can see are those old tags. Help!!!

Couldn't find a like button on the page but putting the link in the share box in FB works fine for me (see above).

You could do with tidying up your <head> tag contents though;

<title>Coaching for Coaches</title>
<!-- TemplateEndEditable -->

</style> << Remove This!

<meta name=" << And This!

<script src="Scripts/AC_RunActiveContent.js" type="text/javascript"> </script> << and you already have this further down the page. You don't need it twice!

But generally I think it might just be a cache thing particular to you.

Thank you. How do I solve the cache issue?

I took down the Like button because it was displaying the old description.

If it is cache then clearing recent browser history or using a different browser may do it. Or perhaps logging in and out of FB. As I said, if it is cache, then it will be particular to you and your machine so you wouldn't really need to sort it at all.

Having said that, it would be useful to see the like button code as well though because that may be causing it.

Was that 'recycled' code as well?

Thank you so much for trying to help me. I'm losing my mind with this facebook like stuff. I thought I would try to get it right on another site first. www.buddhaplays18.com (http://www.buddhaplays18.com) I have the description correct according to dreamweaver, but when it displays on Facebook, I get this garbage:

Order (http://www.buddhaplays18.com/)
www.buddhaplays18.com (http://www.buddhaplays18.com/) AC_FL_RunContent( 'codebase','http://download.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab#version=5,0,0,0 (http://www.facebook.com/l.php?u=http%3A%2F%2Fdownload.macromedia.com%2Fpub %2Fshockwave%2Fcabs%2Fflash%2Fswflash.cab%23versio n%3D5%2C0%2C0%2C0&h=ff1f9)','width','42','height','16','title','Home ','src','text4','quality','high','pluginspage','ht tp://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/download.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash','bgco lor',''

Go figure.

Thank you for your help.

Well, I believe that Facebook tends to pick up the text from your page and what you're seeing is from the Flash menu which Facebook apparently thinks is part of your content. I'm not sure exactly why that's happening but it's a very bad idea to use a Flash based menu in any case. I'd get rid of the menu and replace it with a text and CSS-based menu.

I finally figured this out, and I wanted to share what fixed it. FB has a new program called a linter. Apparently using it refreshes all the meta. Here's the link:http://developers.facebook.com/tools/lint I think they just released it last Friday.

Glad you sorted the cache thing but you still have;

</style>
<meta name="

<script src="scripts/ac_runactivecontent.js" type="text/javascript" />
</script>

In your head tags that makes no sense at all. Tidy up your pages and you'll find problems like this occur less and less ;)
