I keep losing the footer whenever I put in the maincontent form. I've tried fiddling with the container height and made sure that clear:both is in the footer. Please help. Thanks!

HTML
<div id="container">
<ul class="nav">
<li><a href="...></li>
</div>
<div id="maincontact">
<p><strong>
More description about company.</p>
<form id="form" name="form" method="post" action="index.html">
<p>Your name</p>
<input type="text" name="name" />
<p>E-mail address<br />
<input type="text" name="email" /></p>
<p>Subject<br />
<input type="text" name="Subject" /></p>
<p>Name of your company<br />
<input type="text" name="Company name" /></p>
<p>What product are you interested in?</p>
<textarea name="What product interested" rows="10" cols="48" /></p>
<input type="submit" value="submit" />
</form>
</div>
<div id="footer"><div class="foottext">&copy; 2011 all rights reserved &nbsp;&nbsp;|&nbsp;&nbsp; Contact:&nbsp;<a href="*email address deleted*">*email address deleted*</a></div>
</div>
</div>
</body>
</html>
