Hello! I am a bit of a Dreamweaver novice and I cannot connect to my remote WebDAV site. I go to Site --> Manage Sites, click on my site and go to Edit.... Then I click on Servers, enter my Server Name, connect using WebDAV, enter my URL, my username, and my password, and click Test and the test ALWAYS fails with the following message: "An HTTP error occurred. Dreamweaver cannot make a connection to host. Your login or password is incorrect. Please check your connection information." I keep getting this invalid username and password error even though I KNOW the username and password are both correct. So I guess now my question is: where does Dreamweaver validate these passwords? Do I need to have some special permission of the server? Are there any kinds of diagnostic tests I can run or anything else that can help me? Do I need to run dreamweaver as an administrator?

Can you connect to the server using another program and the same login information?

Yes. I can connect to the same website using the same username and password using Microsoft Office Sharepoint Designer 2007.
