Please help.
Is it possible to create multiple tooltips for one image? Maybe with using hotspots? I've been trying for hours, and I can't figure it out.
I don't want hotspots with links, only with text pop-ups.
I'm willing to try other ways, it doesn't have to be with spry.

Thank you so much!!

Tina

I would like to make hotspots without links, so alt text will pop up only. At the moment when I do this, the cursor changes into a hand (indicating there is a link), which prompts people to click the area. That's because it expects a link - but I just want text to come up only! Perhaps I need to use something other than hotspots, or perhaps there is a way to do this with hotspots...

Thanks in advance for any advice.

You can use a Spry Tooltip applied to a <span> tag.

Edit: Sorry, just realized you were talking about adding tips to hotspots on an image.

You could use the image as a background for a relatively placed div and then absolutely position additional divs with tooltips attached inside the image div.

Tina,
You can create one element that use the image as a background, and then place two elements inside it with each their tooltip.

CSS:
#container {
width: 200px;
height: 100px;
background: url(image.gif);
height: 1%;
overflow: hidden;
}
.box {
width: 100px;
height: 100px;
text-indent: -9000px;
float: left;
}
HTML:
<div id="container">
<div class="box" title="This is Tooltip #1">Link #1</div>
<div class="box" title="This is Tooltip #2">Link #2</div>
</div>

Will that work for you?

Maybe you can slice the picture so you can put an alt text or title for each.
