Hello,
Why would I get "Forbidden: You don't have permission to access ......" on just one page in my site (out of about 40) and only in Internet Explorer, no other browser?
I can't give the page URL because the client wants the whole site password-protected until it's launched, but any ideas would be appreciated.
All pages in the site are based on the same template.
On 'localhost' I can open the page in IE but - weird again - it's not centred as it should be. Is that a clue?

Thanks - I'll check them out, eliminate them as a cause at least. But I wonder why it would be Forbidden...

sorry i missed the iE part.
Im using IE9 and yes i do get the 403 for the folder.
i there an index file in that folder? i have known some servers to block when there isnt but i have no idea why it is just affecting IE though

That may be it! Give me a minute...

<an hour and much fudging later>
I have moved many pages in that folder into subfolders and, for luck, created an index file for each folder. Then rebuilt all the nav. However, that wasn't it. Then I found a little snippet of php at the very top of the file, not sure what widget or plug-in I was attempting to install but it must have left a bit behind. Removed it and voila! Fixed.

Thanks so much for your help.

<? $xfer = $_POST['xfer']; header("location: $xfer"); ?>

Actually, looking at it again, maybe it's not php. You can probably tell I'm not a programmer :roll:
