Hello, My vertical spry menu doesn't display properly in IE8 and IE9 but works in other browsers. Any suggestions to correct the error would be appreciated!
------code below--------
@charset "UTF-8";

ul.MenuBarVertical li.MenuBarItemIE {
display:inline;
float:left;
background:#FFF
}
}

ul.MenuBarVertical {
list-style-type:none;
font-size:100%;
cursor:default;
width:10em;
border:1px solid #630;
margin:0;
padding:0
}

ul.MenuBarActive {
z-index:1000
}

ul.MenuBarVertical li {
list-style-type:none;
font-size:100%;
position:relative;
text-align:left;
cursor:pointer;
width:10em;
margin:0;
padding:0
}

ul.MenuBarVertical ul {
list-style-type:none;
font-size:100%;
position:absolute;
z-index:1020;
cursor:default;
width:10.2em;
left:-1000em;
top:0;
border:1px solid #630;
margin:-5% 0 0 95%;
padding:0
}

ul.MenuBarVertical ul.MenuBarSubmenuVisible {
left:0
}

ul.MenuBarVertical ul li {
width:10.2em
}

ul.MenuBarVertical a {
display:block;
cursor:pointer;
background-color:#963;
background-image:url(../images/Button.jpg);
color:#300;
text-decoration:none;
background-repeat:no-repeat;
background-position:95% 50%;
padding:0.5em 0.75em
}

ul.MenuBarVertical a.MenuBarItemSubmenu {
background-image:url(../images/Buttonright.jpg);
background-repeat:no-repeat;
background-position:95% 50%
}

ul.MenuBarVertical a.MenuBarItemSubmenuHover {
background-image:url(../images/ButtonHover.jpg);
background-repeat:no-repeat;
color:#FFF;
background-position:95% 50%
}

ul.MenuBarVertical iframe {
position:absolute;
z-index:1010;
filter:alpha(opacity:0.1)
}

/* HACK FOR IE: to stabilize appearance of menu items; the slash in float is to keep IE 5.0 from parsing */
@media screen, projection
{
ul.MenuBarHorizontal li.MenuBarItemIE
{
display: inline;
f\loat: left;
background: #FFF;
}
}

This might not be the whole issue but I suspect your problem starts here:

ul.MenuBarVertical li.MenuBarItemIE {
display:inline;
float:left;
background:#FFF
}
}

Why did you move that to the top of the style sheet and why do you have an extra closing bracket there?

Hi, Thanks for looking at this! I changed the code (see below) and still it has the same problem. The image for each link seems to want to overlap itself.
I created it in CS4.
I am stumped.

Hi,
Thank you in advance! This is my first site with Dreamweaver and its spry menus. www.pack1020.com

That new CSS code you posted is not the CSS code that is currently posted. I still see the old code.

Hi, Sorry. It should be there now. I added this to <head> to get it working:
<!-- Use IE7 mode -->
<meta http-equiv="X-UA-Compatible" content="IE=EmulateIE7" />
Still would prefer to know what's causing it, though. :) Thanks again!
