I just checked your link again, and the gripe is still there. Did you change it back? The bottom line here to me is you have a link issue...

05-16-2011, 04:48 AM
hereis the code, could you please explain which line has the issue? where/how can I do the changes?

First part

<script type="text/javascript" src="js/html5.js"></script>
<script type="text/javascript" src="js/jquery-1.4.2.min.js" ></script>
<script src="js/jcarousellite.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script src="js/easing.js" type="text/javascript"></script>

<script type="text/javascript" src="js/imagepreloader.js"></script>
<script src="Scripts/swfobject_modified.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script type="text/javascript">

second part

<section class="carousel-box">
<object id="FlashID" classid="clsid:D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000" width="940" height="361">
<param name="movie" value="showreel.swf">
<param name="quality" value="high">
<param name="wmode" value="opaque">
<param name="swfversion" value="">

<param name="expressinstall" value="Scripts/expressInstall.swf">

<object type="application/x-shockwave-flash" data="showreel.swf" width="940" height="361">

<param name="quality" value="high">
<param name="wmode" value="opaque">
<param name="swfversion" value="">
<param name="expressinstall" value="Scripts/expressInstall.swf">

<p><a href="http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer"><img src="http://www.adobe.com/images/shared/download_buttons/get_flash_player.gif" alt="Get Adobe Flash player" width="112" height="33" /></a></p>

Now that you have corrected the scripts link, the flash is working... However you have set the landing page as showreel.html, instead of index.html. Fix that url setting on your host & you're good to go...

thanks for reply, sorry that I may disturb you so much , but for landing page from showreel.html to index.html I dont know, I cant figure it out really. so I think I need bit of explanation how to do that,

here some details how actually this webpage has been build, its index that has been copied for 5 pages and the name has been changes to classes....etc

and all the menu's text has been linked to the right page, the showreel page is one of them that the swf file has to be there, and now I'm bit confused about how do I need to do this changes that you mention?
bit of explanation and guide will be great.

Sorry, my bad... Hadn't had enough coffee yet... I was working off your link above. In going to your primary url everything is working fine from the menu except for the showreel page... lemme look...

Dubai , repost this question to the flash forum... As far as I can tell this flash needs to be embedded, but a better user of flash components on this forum should be able to give you a more competent answer. I usually throw in a call to the macromedia site to pull in a player, and I don't see that you have that included... Someone else here may be more familiar with the code sequence you are using....

thanks for your help, I'll ask others as well, if someone here knows about this situation please say something,

The swf has been embedded but it looks to me that this swf loads in another swf at run time.

If this is the case it will be the path to the loaded swf that needs changing.

This must be relative to the HTML file that its being loaded into.

Your embed code looks fine as its just the standard code that Dreamweaver creates for you.

I like your website BTW.

Just one thing when the main header image loads I'm getting a flash of white. This is a background image, to prevent this make the background of the parent element black.

so you would use background: #000 url(); in your CSS.

thanks ricky, I fixed the background color, I got gray hair from this video is not playing online, on my PC and dream waver everything is fine, but when I publish, its not showing , its nearly 2 days that this video made me crazy and busy, so I need public help.

the shworeel page is copy of the index page, in the main body of page there is something called carosul i think, i delete the slide pages of index and I insert the swf in the same place,

Email me the swf please and I'll create some embed code for you using swfobject

It's Solved

Thanks ricky for your help, the problem was the the path/ direction of the movie file in Fla , also I put the movie file along with swf file and html in the same roon folder on server. now the swf file can find the movie file easily to play.
its was small mistake but big headache. thanks richard for your help and thank you guys.
