Hello

I use mail chimp to send out an email newsletter.

All the templates in mail chimp are set to 600 pixels width.

I compose the newsletter in DW.

How do I set a page width of 600 pixels in DW?

I am using DW MX

Simple answer appreciated.

Thank you

Richard

use a div to contain your email content

a division or layer, layers are usually taken to mean absoulte positioning in dreamweaver. you could also use a table for an email, the important thing with emails is that eiter use styling in line or use a ,style> tag but in the body not the head as some email progs srip out head code

Thank you, I think I have it.

I have inserted a layer and set it to the width I require, but when I type in text the layer keeps expanding to accomodate the text. How do I keep the layer from expanding when I type in text?

Why do you need to wrap the 600px wide template in a container (div) anyway. As far as I know the Mail Chimp templates are ready to go... it's already optimized (with a table layout) to cover the most widely used e-mail clients. You only have to paste the code in an empty HTML document and then fill it with your content.
