I am trying to get a map on my website on which I can locate some spots (with the A,B,C etc and when you move the mouse over one of those spots you get the information about it and you will be able to click on it to go to the page for that spot) I have been able to get a map using this http://code.google.com/apis/maps/documentation/javascript/tutorial.html tutorial, now I just need help on how to locate spots on there, any ideas?

If you are signed into google and have already created a map. When you search for a location a map with a pointer will come up. If you click on the pointer a popup with info about the location will appear. There are a series of text links at the bottom of that popup. One of them is Save to… Click on that link to add the location to one of your maps.
