how do i apply a domain name to a different company? And should it cost anything? I currently have a domain name and it is applied to a blog, i intend to buy some of my own space. What will happen when i move the domain?

Also i am looking for a free programme that will allow me to create a simple java or java like animation. Basically i have six photos i want to scroll, but still allow the user the option of clicking left or right prior to the preset time of the animation moving

You don't necessarily move the domain, you point it. A domain is a URL, a host is a provider, and a hosting package is space on a host's server, with features and an address. When you purchase the hosting package, you will be given an address on the host's server. You will then do as Ed said above; insert this new address into your domain hosting.
