Guys, does anyone know of a web audio player that would let you stream live music? I am building an internet radio station and I need a player for streaming live music. I have found several but they all seem to be players to play stored music. Thanks

No, you need to install software like SHOUTcast on your web server in order to broadcast. There is possibly other software, but this one is free and exist already for soooo long... they're probably trendsetters by now when it comes to live streaming audio.

Sorry... I made a mistake... I meant ICEcast. SHOUTcast is indeed broadcasting on their servers to be listed in their directory

Ohkay... I see, you use already a media server... google for free flash Mp3 player... there are heaps free ones and with some of them you can even customize the look and feel.
All you have to do then is paste the url (with port) of your radio station in the embed code that looks something like this: http://your.radiostation:8000/listen.pls

Ty..I think I've found one but, upon trying to test it using wamp server, I can't seem to get it working. I am using url 127.0.0.1:80 and no luck. I also tried using my ip and it starts trying to log in but then it stops..Any suggestions? by the way the link you gave me does not work..

That link is a fake link... was just an example how the url might look like.

I don't have any experience with it. I used to want a radio station 10 years ago and during my research I found out about ICEcast and SHOUTcast, but I never implemented any of that. Did you read the documentation... they say that you can get your stream online within 30 minutes :)

It's not about getting it on in 30 min. It's about bandwith, disk space and so on. for a successful internet radio station you need your own dedicated server. http://www.server4you.com/ this one provides unlimited bandwith, big disk space and so on. Then you would need the broadcasting software such, as http://www.spacialaudio.com/index.php. You would install software into server, create a webpage and insert a player. Shoutcast, Icecast and all them "cast" items require you to use their servers which are very limited and very costly. What I'm doing is taking all the ingredients and putting them together..
