Hello everybody in the forum.

I am new to Dreamweaver, and am working on my own website.

I have a bunch of jpegs that I want to arrange to form a big background for my website. I have tried arranging them to become one big jpeg file in Photoshop, but it is automatically resized to fit the screen.

What I want is for the jpegs to keep their detail, that means I don't want it automatically resized to fit the screen.

Is there a way to arrange the jpegs in Dreamweaver and keep their resolution at the same time? I want a big background that the user can navigate using the scroller and also click-and-drag using the mouse.

Thanks.

it shouldnt automatically resize unless you are using percentages

Agree with Ed. Have you tried setting it as the background to the body tag using CSS yet?

I shall try that.

What's CSS?

Try this; http://corrosiveonline.co.uk/tutorials_css_explained.php It is the cornerstone of web design so you'll absolutely need it to build a good website.

the css you are looking for is
body {
background-repeat:no-repeat|repeat-x|repeat-y|repeat;
background-image:url(images/fooz.jpg);
background-attachment:scroll|fixed;
}
