View Full Version : Need to make a div stay at the bottom of a page

Hi, all!

I am having a horrible time getting a drawn div to stay at the bottom of a page. When I move it on one page it moves to the exact position on other pages putting it in the middle of content. Floating only works left to right, so I don't know where to go from here to make it stay at the bottom on every page.
I have seen this question posed in other places with no real answers....leading to more questions.

HELP?!

Thanks in advance!

Use the css position: fixed property and set the left and bottom properties to 0. Here's an interactive positioning tutorial page: http://www.dwcourse.com/css-positioning.html

The fixed positioning worked great with the bottom and left at 0.

As it turns out, I have made a popular newbie error by going spastic with the ap divs.

What can I say...they seemed magical. 8-)

I'll be redoing the layout tomorrow, so it will all look right as rain, but this issue had been eating at me for days!

Thanks!

Ha, ha yes. They aways do but a floated, relatively positioned layout framework is the ONLY way to go :)

But it's dark magic. Come to the light…
