Here is the problem plain and simple. I am working on a site called strongmamas.com and there are alot of articles and I need the scroll bars on the text. Well I figured out the div tag to use the scrolls. But if you view it in safari. Everything is fine, the text scrolls down and the flow of the text is good. View it in firefox and You get horizontal and verticle scrolls.... How do I make it where you only get the verticle scrolls?

Example page:

View this page in multiple browsers and you will see what I mean.

Thank you in advance.

try overflow:scroll -x

Why overflow: scroll; in the first place? Just use overflow: auto; so that you only get the vertical scrollbar.

why is overflow: scroll; so bad?

overflow scroll adds scrollbars whenever they needed or not and overflow auto adds scrollbars only when they're necessary.

Okay... I figured it out. Delete the nowrap="nowrap" from one of the td's at the top of your table-soup

<td width="780" height="800" nowrap="nowrap">

And make from the overflow: scroll from the APdiv overflow: auto

And after that do some reading about CSS based layouts, because tables are meant to hold data and not layouts and using APdivs while they're not necessary at all can also break your layout.
