Hi,

If you take a look at my site at:
http://hennala.net/dodeco/leiska.html
there is space/margin around the main content area, even though I though I have done all the possible things to set the values to zero. So I'd like the divs to touch, but they don't. They appear to be right in DW when I set the width of the content area to same as the width of the container, but the live view and browsers still have the space there. The area is now yellow to hightlight the area I'm talking about.

I really hope someone could help me, as I've encountered this same issue before.

Best Regards,
Henna

css is as follows:
@charset "UTF-8";
body {
margin: 0;
padding: 0;
text-align: center;
color: #000000;
font-family: Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif;
font-size: 100%;
background-color: #FFF;
}
.oneColFixCtrHdr #container {
width: 960px;
background: #FFFFFF;
text-align: left;
margin-top: 10px;
margin-right: auto;
margin-left: auto;
}
.oneColFixCtrHdr #header {
padding: 0;
background-color: #DDDDDD;
background-image: url(kuvat/dodeco_iso.jpg);
height: 278px;
margin: 0px;
}
.oneColFixCtrHdr #header h1 {
margin: 0;
padding: 10px 0;
}
.oneColFixCtrHdr #mainContent {
margin: 0px;
border-right-width: 1px;
border-left-width: 1px;
border-right-style: dashed;
border-left-style: dashed;
border-right-color: #999;
border-left-color: #999;
background-color: #FF9;
width: 100%;
}
.oneColFixCtrHdr #footer {
background:#DDDDDD;
}
.oneColFixCtrHdr #footer p {
margin: 0;
padding: 10px 0;
}
#top {
background-image: url(kuvat/dodeco.jpg);
background-repeat: no-repeat;
height: 40px;
margin-top: 10px;
margin-bottom: 5px;
}

Hi,

I actually managed to solve the problem by adding:
* {margin: 0; padding: 0;}
to the very beginning of the css-file. Would this be the right way to do this, or is there something else you'd like to advise me to do?

Kr,

Henna

That's going to remove the margin and padding from EVERYTHING! 8)
