When you start a new page in dreamweaver it ask you several questions.
What page type (format) you will use and what Layout you would like.
In the past I know it was best to design a site around the normal monitor resolution of 800x600. Screens are getting bigger and we now have better monitors. 1024x768 is what I use and I have noticed is what most of the people I work with use.

Dreamweaver gives you the option for a fixed or liquid layout.
I normally use a liquid layout design around the 800x600 screen sizes.
I guess what I was wondering is how do you guys normally set this up and what options do you use?
I have seen a lot of sites with fixed websites that look really nice but if I had my monitor resolution set lower then I might would disagree...

I asked this question to canvas some opinions a few weeks ago; http://www.dreamweaverclub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=36807 I'd also tend to go fixed width without exception. It's just easier to control IMO.

yes i stopped with the fluid just to many variables you can' t easily control so i opt for fixed and centred as a general rule
