View Full Version : How to view asp pages in the localhost

10-29-2010, 03:31 AM
I've been working with Dreamweaver for a while now, but have only created html pages. I am now building my own online store with a database, and am going to use asp pages.
I would like to be able to view the asp pages without having to load the page first to my hosting service.
I have Windows vista home premium and i already installed IIS.
I have tried putting my files in the Inetpub wwwroot folder, and than open it in the localhost but still no luck.
Can you help me?
Thanks much:-)

when i create a asp page in the wwwroot folder and try running it in the localhost the following error comes up
"HTTP Error 404.3 - Not Found
The page you are requesting cannot be served because of the extension configuration. If the page is a script, add a handler. If the file should be downloaded, add a MIME map."
plz help!
