Prestashop and DW Site

I've decided to go w/ Prestashop. Now to my question: I already have a great website I designed with DW. The site currently has paypal.
If I download prestashop into the root folder (i.e. domain.com) will prestashop overwrite my website?

Therefore I should probably download prestashop to a second page "products"?

I'm trying to understand how to integrate an existing site with prestashop.
I don't want to modify the look of my current site, but I do want en entire shopping cart system for a small number of products.
Ideally, the site would be seamless, but I'm guessing I'll have to move along w/ PHP to do that?

Sounds like I'll be initially working off a template page to get started?

your cart and your site can point to different css sheets, in which case its not an issue, watchout for same named pages though
