I have a form which uses spry for a validation check.

I cannot work out, in a drop-down list, is it possible to make the first choice invalid. Eg, I have as first choice "Please choose month from below: ..." I want it set that its required to choose a month, but not the first choice from the list.

Can it be done?

Thanks for the feedback. I meant to say, any way possible using Spry itself (not additional Java Script) so the 2nd link was good. But, I had in fact done everything as it said in that article. But, it does not work. The select lists have "Do not allow blank value" ticked, but actually they do not allow ANY value.

See : http://www.travel-experience.net/formtest.htm

In the first example "Do not allow blank value" is ticked.
In the 2nd example, its unticked.

Seems that when it is ticked, the form won't submit at all.
