I am using Dreanweaver CS4, I upgraded quite a while ago, I don't use the program very much. Since the upgrade I don't know how to change the font size.

It seems that any type that is in a block of type is the same size. I want to make second line a smaller font.

How do I do that?

You could highlight it using a span tag. Something like;

CSS

.smaller {font-size: 10px;}

HTML

<p>first line of text <span class="smaller">Second line of text</span></p>

In the previous version of DW you could set the size of any text by highlighting the portion of text, go to the properties window and select the size needed. Surly we don't have to go back to using code. I started doing pages in MicroSoft word, but boy I have forgot the code.

surely you *do* have to "go back" to using code if you're making a web page - whether it's you or dreamweaver making the code, and seeing as font tags have been deprecated (i.e.chucked out) of the html spec then css is the way to go - after-all it's been around for 10 years or so ... :)

OK, I got it to change made. I am retired commercial artist and never did much web work. I did technical illustration using my web pages to show clients work.

However, I do thank you for the help.
