View Full Version : Change Font Color

Another noob problem...
I just started using Dreamweaver about a week or so ago.
When I first used it I think I remember at the bottom of the screen where the properties area is there being a lot of options to edit text such as alinement font color text size etc. But something happened and now that is gone... I am using CS5 and I tried to reset the designer view that I am working in by nothing works. Right now what I see in properties is this. HTML CSS tabs on the left side Then to the right of that format and ID drop down menu to the right of that CLass and Link drop down menu then bold italic button and few other button and title and target. It is very frustrating... In something as expensive as Dreamweaver CS5 I would think a normal text editing area would be normal... and like I said I think I remember seeing it looking different before...

Any Ideas?

I just want to change the color of my font...

I also just wanted to point out that I am aware that you can goto modify > Page properties and change the font color there but a problem I am having is it doesn't just change the font for the area I select but it chages the color for the whole entire page.

use css to change color in the div that you want. or you can create a class and use it for that element you choose

use cascading style sheets (css)
changing font colours in the way you describe is cumbersome and makes it a tangled mess to modify later.

ok thanks guys.
and one more problem that I just ran into a little off topic.
How do I make an image hotspot in a text area?

Thanks again guys!
