View Full Version : Trouble displaying web page correctly

Hello! I am working on website using dreamweaver cs5. When I upload the page into a test file, it displays correctly. However, when I move it up one level to the live mode, the page displays with duplicate SWF files or SWFs from other pages (that don't belong there).

I'm not a programmer, so I would appreciate any clearly explained help.

Here's a link to how it SHOULD look (still in the test folder)...

Here's what it's doing (incorrectly...)

The page was created from a custom dreamweaver template.

Thanks ahead of time for any help!

You've got links to all those files in your page and it's displaying exactly as it should (for the code you have) on the http://www.nbint.org/dates.html

That extra content isn't displaying on the test page because the links are broken. Specifically look for these:

/home/30.swf duplicated by ../home/30.swf

aboutus/faith.swf broken on test page (but it is there)

Thanks so much for your help! I'm cleaning up the page by recreating it from a clean template. Now my next question is: (and I'm sure it's something simple...)--after I created the template and made several regions editable, I tried to insert a SWF file and I get the error:
"you cannot insert a swf object into an editable region, please insert it in a locked region"

What is the procedure for this situation? I have to make 20+ pages off this template and each page has a different SWF file in this area.

Thanks ahead for any help with this!

It sounds like your working on a template file. If that's the case there's no reason to insert a flash video in an editable region. You would do that on a page created from the template.
