Hi all,

I use Dreamweaver and am looking for a script for a form to use on my site..hopefully cheap/free. It would be used for sending out a free newsletter by entering their email address for me to collect.

ANy help is appreciated.

You should be able to adapt this; http://www.dreamweaverclub.com/dreamweaver-php-form.php

if its for a newsletter you might be better looking at a full script like pommo which if fully featured to add member subscriptions, an opt out system which is very important if you dont want to be labled as a spammer and a template engine for your emails

Corrosive....I like your suggestion of using this...because all I will be having is just the email container field...so this looks great if it works...

Question though for you or anyone else who might know...after I copy/save/update that sendresults.php file on my machine, do I need to upload that file to my hosting where my website resides?

Thanks for any help...

Yes you do and make sure you have PHP and permissions to use the mail function as well.

By PHP, do you mean to check if my hosting package supports PHP? If so I have checked with them, and they said yes mine supports PHP.

As far as where do I upload that file to, would it be the main folder on my host where my site resides then?

Just making sure I do this correctly...thanks

As long as the path to the sendresults page is correct in the form action you can put it wherever you like. Personally I like to keep a separate folder for php

Ok thanks. My hosting site 1&1 just gave me a ink with the code to use to create the simple email submit button. They had more fields than I wanted so I scaled it down to just the email field and submit

Ok can anyone tell me how can I change this html code which I think
is a table? so it would just line up like this instead?

Email-address
Container field
Send button

That would make it line up and fit in my sidebar...I'm not so great
on html these days...thanks for your help

Ok I got that figured out. The only thing I have left is to maybe shorten the length for the address container??? but not the number of characters it can hold?
