up until know, i used flash for my menu system...one flash file placed in all of the pages all pointing to a single xml file that contained the data. I modify the xml and the menus on all the pages are then changed (note i dont use the "site management").

Now i am learning to use spry and have noticed that the code for the menus is placed within the individual page. Its clear to me that there is a system for creating a spry menu that is then "imported" in to the individual pages.

i realize one system is to use templates.....is there another where i create a html page and "import it" into the various pages of the site?

includes
if your server permits you can include elements in .html or .htm pages. for sure if your pages use the extension .php and your server is php compliant, you can do it this way
