View Full Version : Trouble with Tables

This is my first time posting and hopefully it won't be the last with helpful tips as well.

I'm widening this website: http://preview.tinyurl.com/25p4unv

This is what I created http://preview.tinyurl.com/28vylcd

Going from page to page, the masthead/banner dances around which doesn't look good. This page has tables and html/css.

I'm afraid my inexperience is getting the best of me. If I could get some help from someone that would be great.

Look good to me. The top header is in it's place and not moving.

Can you describe the issue in more detail?
Also make sure you specify any specific browser this is happening on.

Thanks for the reply.

The top banner shifts about 5 to 7 pixels to the right on the "contact" and "speakers & training" pages.

I'm experiencing that on Mac Firefox, and Chrome. Also Windows IE 8 and Firefox. Mac and Windows Safari are okay and I am using a Mac to modify this

I did have pages where table widths that were too wide caused a problem and were corrected by making the nested table(s) a smaller dimension or percentage than the main table. That doesn't seem to be the issue(s) on my remaining problem(s). The first is the contact page which hardly has a nested table. I've tried <center></center> which worked with FireFox and not in the Safari browser.

So perhaps if the tables are minimum on a page it's the menu?

My headaches right now are:

I did CSS:
body {
width: 950px;
margin: 0 auto; /*centers page*/
text-align:center; /*centers older browsers*/
margin-top: 0px;

This didn't help.

Correction Mac/PC Safari works with the speakers link good but still fails with the contact link.
