Hi everyone,

I will be greatly thankful to everyone who can tell me what the difference between Dreamweaver CS 3 and Dreamweaver 8 is. I bought a book to see how Dreamweaver CS 3 works, but it seems that my laptop does not have sufficient RAM to run the program. At the same time, I see that Dreamweaver 8 doesn’t require so much RAM, and I wonder what to do. Could anyone tell me what the advantages of each version are? Which one would you recommend? I also saw there is CS 4 on the market. Is it worth paying for more RAM so that I can use the new version? Many thanks for your help!

Check out Upgrading from Dreamweaver 8 to CS4 (http://dwcourse.com/dreamweaver/upgrading-dreamweaver8-cs.php). IMHO it would be worth buying more RAM to be able to run CS4 (why only go half way?). But there will be a learning curve. CS4 is more strict about enforcing the use of CSS for layout, etc.

Also, FYI, CS5 is due to ship in mid-May.
