I was curious trying to find a easier way for non DW users to update their sites without having to do through me. I was considering implementing the Facebook style of editing into my site. However I am at a difficult stage and unable to figure out how to work the implementation. I was wondering if anyone would have any ideas or insight on a way to update a site without the use of a program as complex, to some, as Dreamweaver.

Have you looked at a CMS (Content Management System)? Google it, there are loads.

Thanks for the quick response. I've been using Joomla! for quite a while now and it's great. But I was looking to have a way for the client to logon to their site, and be able to click the content they wanted to edit and then edit. I only compared it to facebook because it is a well known site and easily used by millions.

Dreamweaver CS4 offered Active Content but that's being rolled into Adobe CS Live which will be a pay service ($200 to $300/year) starting in 2011.

BTW, the service will include:

BrowserLab
CS Review (share and review creative projects online)
Acrobat.com
Adobe Story (collaborative script development)
SiteCatalyst NetAverages ("insight into current Internet usage trends")

Here's the FAQ: https://www.adobe.com/products/creativesuite/cslive/faq/?tree1=0

Isn't this pretty much why Adobe has Contribute?

Yes, if you have Contribute than you can install an add on (only IE, Firefox and Safari), so that you can update/edit content live in the browser.
