Hello,

Please can someone help. I am new to Dreamweaver and have just built my first website with the help of Dreamweaver. However, I had added a number of pages and one is intended to host albums of my family but it does not seem to work. It looks okay in dreamweaver but does not load correctly on the web. Dreamweaver looks like this attachment, however if you go to http://www.zimbomays.info/Australia%20Trip%202009/IMG_1297.jpg I only get one image. What is wrong and how can I fix it. I have other albums to add but as cannot get this one to work have not added the others yet. Is there an easy way to create albums without having to download fireworks?

Thanks in advance - Zimtracy:confused: 762

Hi,
As far as I am aware I am not using a gallery script. Does this mean that I have placed a link where I should'nt have? It may be best if you look at the site yourself go to www.zimbomays.info/photographs (http://www.zimbomays.info/photographs) and then click on the Austria link. Am really confused so any help would be gratefully received. Thanks so much

Hi, So sorry seem to have confused you as well. Perhaps I should start again. What I am trying to do is create a number of albums/galleries so tha:t I may share my photos. Similar to what is shown on this website:- http://www.basingstokecameraclub.co.uk/html/index.html Also would like to include thumbnails and then when you click on the thumbs they enlarge.

Are you able to tell me how to do this. I know that it can be done using fireworks but have already tried to download this and it took nearly 2 days (I live in Zambia & internet speed is very slow) and then after all that it did not download. Can I create a gallery in Dreamweaver without having to use Fireworks.

Again thanks for all your help so far. Regards

Hi,
May I suggest using Lightbox, I used it for my website here:
http://www.eustonfishingclub.com/Gallery/index.html

It was fairly easy to use and comes with some pretty good instructions on how to use here
http://www.huddletogether.com/projects/lightbox2/

All the Best,
Nick C

Hi,
In looking at your Euston website, can you tell me how you got your images onto the "graphic" that is behind all of the pictures?

Thanks!
kelly

Sorry... At the bottom, where you have your sets of albums that you used lightbox for. They are on a square colored "graphic" that looks like sandpaper.

In my site, I have created a graphic that essentially looks like faded, old paper. On the main page it has a couple of images and my text. (Created in photoshop). I'd like to maintain the same paper in my products page but put pictures of my products on that using lightbox. My "paper" is an editable region but I'm not sure if I can "lay" the pictures on top of it. Make sense?

Thanks!
Kelly

(Sorry for hijacking the thread)

Hi Kelly. Basically, set the paper effect as a background to your div and then place the image tags inside that div and link to lightbox.

Hi,

I understand about setting it in a div. Can you show me where/how it should look? I will be getting rid of the img and the maps it contains and wanting the background img in its place. I think where I'm unclear is that in the coding my img is after my main content div (which in-and-of-itself may be wrong.)

thanks!
kelly
