I am new to php but have been using Dreamweaver for a long time as a designer, not a script/code person (except basic CSS and a line of javascript or 2). I now have a project that requires a web form to submit information AND attach images on a web page. Do those images go to an email address or a folder? How does that work?

If php is the route to take, should I try to download some pre-made script. (If so any suggestions), or do I need to write it out myself?

I only know how to create a php file in Dreamweaver. I don't know how to make it work w/ the website. Feedback much appreciated Thanks!

the choice is yours depending on your script.
first step is an upload , this will go to a temp folder first. your script can then either store that in a directory, mail it or both.

Yes, PHP is the route to take. You could probably find some scripts that would do this for you but I wouldn't go that route myself as you will be governed by the function of those scripts and maybe not have your site exactly as you would want it.

I know you have a long learning curve ahead of you but I would definately take Davidj's advice and learn PHP. It is not as hard is it seems and you can do a lot with just a basic knowledge.

I was in your shoes a year or so ago and took the plunge and am so glad I did. With help of Davidj and others on this site you will learn quickly and can use your new knowledge on your website as you go.

A good starting place is Davidj's video tutorials here (http://www.dreamweaverclub.com/vtm/php-mysql-apache.php) on this site and also his 1 2 1 lessons which you can find here (http://codezenith.co.uk/). Then everyone on this forum are here to also help you along the way.

Good luck with it.
