i have a few domain names i either no longer use or have inherited and was thinking of trying to sell them rather than just let them lapse. Any one done this and can enlighten me?

Those 'automatic appraisal' sites are worthless. I've sold a few on regular sites usually for $100 a piece.

tdnam.com and sedo.com. I think even on digitalpoint forums, some users will do manual appraisals.

thanks i tried those online sites and most come up with a value of 10 dollars. i might be dreaming here but a friend of mine just bought a domain for 1000$ and it kinda caught my attention,

My son has bought and sold on the site that is now http://flippa.com/

It has some good resources associated with it.

Generally sites that are developed and can show an income/traffic history or Google rankings do best. Although short, one word and keyword-based names are alos in demand.

It all depends on the name. Are you at a position to disclose?
