own window and some of them open and have a back button...hhmmmm.
i'd like them all to open in their own window...i know it's probably something simple i'm just missing it....

Take target="_blank" out of your link html.

nope...still no change, same in IE, FF, and O....
I'm stumped at this point, I would just like them all to behave the same...

You've not followed my instructions. I have just re-read your first post and realise you want them all to open in a new window. So replace;

<li> <a href="http://www.drummerinabox.com" target="_blank">Drummer In A Box </a>
<li> <a href="http://www.viterboaccounting.com" target="_blank">Viterbo Accounting </a>
<li> <a href="http://www.bandgmusic.com">BandGMusic</a>
<li><a href="http://www.pietrobarbera.com">Pietro Barbera</a>
<li><a href="http://www.honymar.com">Richard Honymar</a>

With this;

<li> <a href="http://www.drummerinabox.com" target="_blank">Drummer In A Box </a> </li>
<li> <a href="http://www.viterboaccounting.com" target="_blank">Viterbo Accounting </a> </li>
<li> <a href="http://www.bandgmusic.com" target="_blank">BandGMusic</a></li>
<li><a href="http://www.pietrobarbera.com" target="_blank">Pietro Barbera</a> </li>
<li><a href="http://www.honymar.com" target="_blank">Richard Honymar</a> </li>

I have also closed your list tags for you.
