i can put images on the page and they are there when i preview but when i go live they appear as red Xs. All my images are under my root folder. I need some help.

That means that the path to your image, as you have it in your c ode, is wrong. There is no image in that location.

I have one of my pictures that works and its saved in the same spot and nothing is different with its code and when i browse the source of the the picture it brings me right too it just not when im live

um i am trying to make it a link but it is a whole other page i saved under the root folder that im tryin to link to and thats the page the picture isnt working on but i did have another page that is the exact same and the picture is working. dave by upload what do you mean like put the pictures live or what please explain im sorry im a little new to this.

upload - put pictures live.
have you defined a site in dreamweaver?

o yes i put the pictures live and thats when the red x comes up and yes i defined the site im really at a loss i dont know what else to do.

i cant see the cross or code but it is pointing to 2 folders above your page ../../ is that correct or is that 2 folders above the template folder ?

I am still getting a red X for my picture when i go live with it. It previews locally and it is saved in the right folder i need hellllllpppppp.

People have been trying to help you so I don't think opening a new thread is going to prove particularly helpful.

Basically we've offered some ideas but, at least for me. until you can post a page that demonstrates the problem in a way that we can see AND explain what's happening clearly I don't think there's much more I can offer.

I've just looked at your page again and the only image missing is 'Conflex CSW160 Advantage.jpg'. I click on it and it isn't there. End of. Either your path is wrong or the image isn't uploaded. We can't say any more than that! You could try taking all of the spaces out of your file names. That isn't really good practice anyway. You'll see you get a %20 between the words. If you must break words then use _ or -. Other than that we can't help much more :confused:

have you used the inbuilt link checker in dw?
