Hello,

I often validate/check my XHTML files for errors with CS4, but I'm not sure of how to check PHP files. Is there a command that I'm missing or perhaps an extension?

Thank you,

- M

PHP does not need to be validated. Infact you cant validate the code if that's what you mean. PHP returns HTML so you can validate the output from a PHP file by using the file name and extension

Ah, thank you, I see. Is there something that would help me to debug PHP code then? For example, say I write a small script but forget a couple of semicolons and an open bracket somewhere. Is there a function that would point those errors out to me?

You should get to know your colour syntax in your coding IDE

Dreamweaver does this quite well but Notepad++ and others support colour syntax

 Brilliant!

DJ, would isn't there any setting in MySQL that could help in debugging? (debug mode)

If your debugging mysql you can use mysql_error() function to output mysql errors
