View Full Version : 2 Probs: Popup Menu IE Fail & No SPRY

Hi All. I'm very new so - be gentle.

1) I've just completed a pop-up menu (view here (http://ccparish.org/index_new-menu.htm)) using the behaviors menu under tags. It worked great - I checked it in all browsers to start with, but - final check reveals that the up-state text does not show in IE! Browsers NS7, FF, Op, Safari all work fine. What's happened and how do I fix it? Deadline city!!!!

2) When I search the web for answers on this I discovered SPRY. Is it supposed to be part of Dreamweaver CS3? I can't find any reference to it in my documentation, and I don't see an add in anywhere. What am I missing?

Thanks in advance.

1. Which version of IE? It works fine in IE8 for me.

2. Spry items are in a tab in the Insert Palette.

Pop-up menu: I'm using IE 7. I haven't tried earlier versions yet either.

SPRY: My Insert tabs show:
Mambo452 | Common | Layout | Forms | Text | HTML | Application |
Flash Elements | Favorites. No SPRY :(

If you've got CS3, it should be there.

See: http://dwcourse.com/dreamweaver/spry-menu-bars.php or http://dwcourse.com/dreamweaver/more-spry-menu-bars.php

Also you can try menu: Insert>Spry>Spry Menubar

That's weird. It's not there and I know I have DW CS3. Time to contact Adobe - should be fun. May have a bad upgrade and didn't notice SPRY wasn't there.

Any idea why IE7 isn't showing the up state text on my pop-up menu?

i checked wirh ietester and it is working in ie7 and even the dreaded 6, do you have javascript enabled?

Interesting idea. My java script is enabled though. I'm working at a desktop, but checked from my laptop and can't see the 'mouseover' up state from there either. The menu pops-up - I just can't see the text for the up states on any of the buttons. You can see it so that's encouraging. Maybe it knows it's master's voice?

Not sure what to do. Any further ideas?
