I have two issues with my website

1/
the website won't display in all browsers. it's ok in safari but not in firefox or internet explorer. i am using a very simple javascript(see below) which loads different images onto the same page like a type of slideshow... it doesn't preview from dreamweaver properly in the browsers either except in safari. please help i'm sure this is probably very simple to solve if i knew how.

2/
the images load too slowly. they are all around 110KB. I want the images to be as crisp as poss and load as soon as you click on their link. any suggestions to improve this?

thank you

this is the website: (link removed temporarily)
