View Full Version : Non-editable regions commented out

I'm trying to figure out how to use templates. I made a template from an existing page, then made a new page from the template. I can see the whole new page in Dreamweaver, but all the code in the non-editable regions is commented out and is in grey, so the browser can't see it. When I open the page in the browser, all that displays is what's in the editable regions of the new page. Am I missing something?
Here's the page I made: http://www.labanarama.com/about2.html

Your comment tags are fine. The browser can see everything.

The problem lies in your paths, example:
<link href="file:///Macintosh HD/Applications/Adobe Dreamweaver CS4/labanarama/labansite/labansite.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />

That is not a path to your website, but to your local system.

That's usually the result of not defining your site correctly or saving the page outside of your root folder.

BTW, non-editable regions are grayed out because they are non-editable not because they are comments.
