View Full Version : Image Problem - Not Displaying In Preview

02-02-2010, 03:15 PM

I am having problems displaying pictures on a website im developing. I have a header image that displays correctly and logos that display correctly and plenty of buttons which are images. All displaying correctly.

However today i added a content area to my css template. I added some text to this area and some images. These images display fine in dreamweaver design view. However when i preview in firefox or ie only the top 20% or so of the image displays, the rest is a grey box. The img source code seems fine, it happens with all images i insert at the mo.

Can anyone please help??

I havent uploaded anywhere yet, using local host and wamp server to iron out as many of the bugs as possible before i even consider uploading. Below is the code for one of the pages with the problem however it seems to do it for every page i create at the moment even when i locate the source files via dreamweaver and ie.

there might be something wrong with your images then - copying your code and quickly inserting a couple if my own images and it all works fine.

I did wonder if there was somehing wrong with the images because if you view the source via ie or dreamweaver they appear with parts missing too. However when i view them in design view on dreamweaver, in paint, photoshop or via my documents they apppear fine.

Any clue what the problem could be?

Just out of interest i was looking at the pictures that did work and the ones that didnt. I noticed the ones that did were considerably smaller file sizes. Therefore i changed one of the pictures in photoshop and made it a smaller file size. This was a step to getting it fixed. Now more of the picture is showing but still not all of it, why are my picures being restricted by file size like this?
