Hi, today I started to make my own website which I will be really basic and will be used to store my work.

I have sliced an image in Photoshop to make my tables and imported this to Dreamweaver.

In this first image the tables are all aligned correctly and when I view the page in FF or IE it all looks okay. This is without linking a html page through the "About Me" Image.

However when I insert a link into the box with the arrow then the "About Me" image gets a big purple border and it moves the tables and cells around. This makes it look awful in FF and IE See image below.

I'm not sure how to fix this or make it work. So If you know please help.

Thanks.

All images that are links have a border. To turn it off, add this to your CSS file:
img {border:0;}

You're setting yourself up for alot of trouble by having Photoshop create the HTML for you. Using tables for layout is a big 'no-no'.

Thanks a lot for the help, it seemed to work perfect.

Thanks again!

I don't know how to layout a website any other way but with tables :D

I'd take the time to learn if I were you. Try reading the 'sticky' at the top of this board and go from there. Domedia is correct, you are heading for more problems.
