Please help me!! I am a beginner and I am having a serious problem when I insert flash into my dreamweaver site. This problem only happens when viewing the page on a PC. Safari and Firefox are fine. I created the site on a Mac.

There is a grey box on the left side of the page, at the top of the blue side menu.

Looks fine on my PC using Firefox.

Why would you use flash for that menu though?

I don't know how to have the menu in there with the rollover fade in effect behind each menu option in dreamweaver.

I think the problem is on internet explorer.

The top nav can be done easily with CSS and the sidebar nav too, but in combination with javascript. There is a jQuery plugin that can do fadein/fadeout on buttons. Will look into that.

The biggest benefit of using HTML & CSS for your navigation instead of Flash is that your site will be indexed good by search engines. If you wanna stick to the flash buttons, then its wise to add a sitemap to your pages so that search engines can index the whole site.
