View Full Version : Spry data set not working in FF 3.5.6

Hi, I need some urgent help. I am in CS4 and have used the spry data set using a xml file. It works in the 'live view' and in Safari. But it won't work in Firefox. The error I get is below in red:

Exception caught while loading ../databases/TeacherProfileData.xml: [Exception... "Access to restricted URI denied" code: "1012" nsresult: "0x805303f4 (NS_ERROR_DOM_BAD_URI)" location: "file:///Users/jessicaross/Documents/1.%20Clients/1.%20WIP/www.jessicacreative.com/SpryAssets/SpryData.js Line: 93"]

The script for the Sprydata.js file is below (Line 93 only):

93 req.xhRequest.send(req.postData);

The code for the html page is below:

<!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd">
<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xmlns:spry="http://ns.adobe.com/spry">
<meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" />
<title>Untitled Document</title>
<script src="../../../SpryAssets/xpath.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<script src="../../../SpryAssets/SpryData.js" type="text/javascript"></script>
<link href="../../../SpryAssets/SpryMasterDetail.css" rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" />
<script type="text/javascript">
var ds1 = new Spry.Data.XMLDataSet("../databases/TeacherProfileData.xml", "teacherprofile/teacher");

<div class="MasterDetail">
<div spry:region="ds1" class="MasterContainer">
<div class="MasterColumn" spry:repeat="ds1" spry:setrow="ds1" spry:hover="MasterColumnHover" spry:select="MasterColumnSelected">{teachername}</div>
<div spry:detailregion="ds1" class="DetailContainer">
<div class="DetailColumn">{image}</div>
<div class="DetailColumn">{name}</div>
<div class="DetailColumn">{style}</div>
<div class="DetailColumn">{profile}</div>
<br style="clear:both" />

I have also uploaded the files to the server to test rather than just previewing in browser from local files.

If you have any idea of what I can do to make this work, that would be much appreciated. I don't know much about code etc as I am a designer with basic web knowledge and I am trying to teach myself all the new things.

Thanks :)
