I have a problem that is confusing the hell out of me!

I have a simple page wihich consists of a swf with a navigation sidebar on the left. The sidebar is a jpeg with mapped areas for linking to other pages. The sidebar is 200 px wide and the swf is 600 px wide.

On my laptop (1440x900) in IE the page displays correctly (sidebar next to the swf), but in Firefox the sidebar displays above the swf - WTF

I assume that there is a simple fix for this (he said hopefully!).

Its because you didn't use a layout for your page. You just putted everything underneath each other in the body.

You should make a 2 column layout. Left column for your menu and the right column for your content (swf movie). Make use off CSS and divs and not a table based layout.
