I have created a simple form that I want to use the mailto action. I can get the action to work but it does not attach any of the infomation in to the email.

Form code: (I have changed the mailto address)

<form action=mailto:me@work.com (me@work.com) method="get" enctype="text/plain" name="form1" id="form1">
<strong>About the injured person</strong><br />
Full Name:<br />
<input name="Name" type="text" id="Name" size="35" />
<br />
Address and Post Code:<br />
<textarea name="Address" cols="32" id="Address"></textarea>
<br />
Home Telephone Number:<br />
<input name="Telephone" type="text" id="Telephone" size="35" />
<br />
Date of Birth:<br />
<input type="text" name="DOB" id="DOB" />
<br />
Occupation:
<br />
<input name="Occupation" type="text" id="Occupation" size="35" />
<br />
Company / Employer:<br />
<input name="Employer" type="text" id="Employer" size="50" />
<br />
<input type="submit" name="Submit" id="Submit" value="Send" />
<br />
</form>

Any ideas?

You cannot use 'mailto' in the action attribute of a form. It's just going to open an emailclient, that's it.

There are tons of free mail PHP scripts with explanation and all. Google it! You don't need to know that much of PHP as long as you have a bit of understanding of HTML and your host must have PHP installed on the web server.

Check with your hosting company. They may have one preinstalled for you to use.

We rally could need a new item on the homepage, so an update would be awesome.
