How to create a simple 'comments' section to the bottom of one of my pages.

I realise this isnt simple to do, but does anybody have any tips on how to start learning?

Will I need to know in depth PHP SQL? Im new to that scene.

So far ive been using Bravnets free Guestbook, but it only allows 1500 entries, and mine is now full!

Ideally i'd like some sort of deterrent against bots and spam etc..

thanks in advance for the help :)

PHP is a must, but MySQL not. There is also an option to store the comments in a text file. Not long ago I did a search on the net for an open source comments script and then I found out about that.

Is there any limit to the number of comments, and does it block spam?

thx

Yeah, I've used it for a while now. Granted I've not tested it to destruction as I don't tend to get many comments (hint, hint) but I really like the integration with social networking sites and it seems to work a treat so far :). Also, Plug and Play...the three sweetest words in the English language ;)
