Hi, I've created a table in DW, and all the content and links of the web site are in it. I would like now to give the table a shadow, for the 3D kind of look... most of the tutorials I found online explains about drop shadow for images, boxes... can anyone help me with shadow for table?
THANKS!!!!!!!!!!!

Not sure about working with tables. You should be using divs for layout really.

I have been trying the same and figured out if you highlight table, go to properties, set border to say 4 on more, set cell pad and cell space to 0 so cell lines don't show, live view and you will see a kinda drop shadow around table. I think it looks good , try different background colors and cell colors.

As Corrosive has said you should really not be using tables for your layout. They are really only used now for tabular data, even forms are now created using divs and CSS.

Before you get yourself too far ahead you should learn how to use Divs and CSS for your layouts.

Take a look at this tutorial as a starting place.

Now if you're fine with the shadow only working in modern browser, you can use CSS3 for this.. maybe a thought for a tutorial..we should start digging into CSS3 more.

Particularly now that the Moz rendering engine has caught up with Webkit in FF 3.6 and even IE9 will 'boast' some CSS3 support. I've been experimenting with and using it quite a bit :)
