I made my website with Photoshop, i sliced the images and saved the layout as HTML, i opened it up in Dreamweaver and I need to change the images into backgrounds, here is the code.

<td colspan="12" rowspan="7">
<img src="images/Layout_1.png" width="409" height="399" alt=""></td>

I tried changing it to this, but it didn't work.

<td colspan="12" rowspan="7">
<td background="images/Layout_1.png" width="409" height="399"valign="top"></td>

But it didn't do anything, in fact, it messed up the entire website.

Help.

Read the first topic here: http://www.dreamweaverclub.com/forum/showthread.php?t=28741

Then, if you must, use CSS for specifying the background.

Use photoshop to slice your images but build your layout from scratch using CSS or from a CSS-based template http://www.dreamweaverclub.com/templates/
