Hi I am pretty much new to web design, I have searched the forum for an answer but dont seem to be able to find one .... probably because it has a simple answer to fix it , heres my prob....

I am simply trying to add an AP div to my web page and have it aligned centrally to match up with the rest of my page as you can see below the AP div just contains some button and I want it to match up with the header which is central.

Heres the design view in dreamweaver

Heres the preview result in 1280x1024 res Ie7

However if I check in a different resolution say 1024x768 this happens...

Any comments or help welcome and thanks in advance.

Absolutely positioned elements are place relative to the browser window or the nearest parent element with the CSS position property applied, so…

Assuming the header is already in a div, apply the CSS property position:relative to the header div.

Then position your div INSIDE the header div, apply

position:absolute
right: 0px
bottom: 0px

Here's a video tutorial on css positioning that might help it make sense: CSS Positioning
